Forwards Steve Menzies and Brent Kite celebrated their first tries of the season as Manly steamrolled a lacklustre Brisbane 30-12 at Suncorp Stadium.
Brisbane led 12-6 at halftime but the warning signs were evident after they failed to finish off several promising attacks which broke down under Manly's defensive pressure.
Queensland Origin hopeful Steve Bell set Manly on the comeback trail, scoring soon after halftime off a well timed Jamie Lyon pass.
Menzies's 52nd minute try came after a one-handed off-load from Adam Cuthbertson and was followed by Kite's four-pointer six minutes later, to help put Manly up 24-12.
Manly scored again after Brisbane winger Reece Robinson was pointlessly beaten to an Orford bomb by rival Michael Robinson for Stewart to collect his seventh try of the season.
Brisbane prop Ben Hannant appeared to have some teeth loosened and in a head clash with Manly lock Luke Williamson who came out of the collision with a cut cheek.
Hannant was forced from the field with blood running from his mouth.
Brisbane missed 46 tackles and while David Stagg was the biggest offender with six, he also made 45 tackles.
Brisbane lost centre Justin Hodges prior to the kick off and clearly missed his work load out of dummy half.
